Delegation of the Valencian Tourism Agency to Beijing in collaboration with Cátedra China

The Valencian Tourism Agency - in collaboration with Cátedra China - sends a commercial delegation to Beijing to promote the tourist image of the Valencian Community.

From November 14 to 17, 2017, a delegation from the Valencian Tourism Agency led by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer Sánchez, and the Vice President of the China Chair, Víctor Cortizo, visited the Asian giant with the aim of promoting the tourist offer of the Valencian Community.

This trip is part of the agreement signed between the Chinese Chair Association and the Valencian Tourism Agency with the aim of strengthening the position of the Valencian Community in the field of tourism promotion.

The delegation was received in Beijing by various magazines and media specialized in tourism such as China Travel Agent, Voyage or Tourism Media, among others. Meetings were held at different headquarters of Chinese tourism companies such as Hna-Caissa Travel Group —specialized in outbound tourism, operating in more than 100 countries with more than 6000 tourism products— and Ctrip Beijing, the online tour operator with the highest volume of business in China.

In addition, the delegation was received by representatives of two of the most prestigious Chinese tour operators: U-Tour and PTW Phoenix. Visits to the Mafengwo travel platform and the China Tourism Academy were also part of the delegation's agenda within this institutional trip to promote the tourist offer of the Valencian Community.

In accordance with the principles and purposes of Cátedra China, the promotion of tourism is postulated as an action of great importance since it becomes a tool for cultural exchange and a bridge between the Chinese and Spanish communities. A huge door that allows greater knowledge and contact between China and Spain.
